The FMLA and Employment Law Principles in the Family Law Context
- posted: Sep. 21, 2014
This is a paper that I presented at the 4th Definitive Ad Litem Seminar on April 11-12, 2014. The event was hosted by the Juvenile Law Section of the Houston Bar Association.
The paper discusses three topics:
1. The application of the FMLA in the adoption/child placement context.
2. The application of the "associational" disability theory under the Americans with Disabilities Act in the adoption/child placement context.
3. The general protections for witnesses who miss work to participate in court proceedings.
